I've been coming here since I was 7 and I recently got back into fish tanks and this place still has the best quality fish and cost. really recommend it!!

Had everything i needed gave me great insite on my pet what to do what not to Very helpful

I bought a hamster from this store and I thought it was just chubby. I considered it “rescued” because it was beaten and maimed by the other hamsters it was put with. It ended up being pregnant and had 5 babies.

This facility may be a local, long-lasting hotspot, but they treat their animals inhumanely, prioritizing the sales over the health of their animals

The employees are very nice but I think what is important here are the goods they’re selling: the animals and supplies. Firstly, the animals, ESPECIALLY the mammals, are housed inhumanely. They are all in small tanks no matter which animal it is. The minimum for one guinea, as per the Human Society, is 7.5 square feet. Anything less is considered abuse. Because guinea pigs are prey animals, they need somewhere to hide, which Terry’s Aquarium lacks to provide although they sell a variety of hidey houses. I personally have own three guinea pigs and even beginner owners know 50% of a guinea pig’s diet MUST be made up of meadow grasses. The only food provides to these poor guineas is standard pellets although Terry’s Aquarium sells variety mixes and hay. The hamsters are also housed inhumanely. The minimum cage requirements for a hamster is two square feet, smaller than the tanks they’re currently housed in. Syrian hamsters are very territorial, solitary animals and should ONLY be housed alone. Whenever I visit Terry’s Aquarium, there is always multiple hamsters together is tiny glass tanks. If Syrian hamsters are housed together, they become very violent to the point of killing kin. The cages that’re sold for ALL of their animals, ESPECIALLY hamsters, are deemed insufficient by the Humane Society. Habitrails/Crittertrails, for example, are abusively tiny and do not allow proper circulation. For the fish, I constantly see half-alive fish struggling to breathe at the bottom of the tiny tanks they’re kept in. Beta fish are inhumanely kept in circular tanks. Clusters of fish of many species are put in one tiny tank, sometimes including other aquatic animals like frogs.

My first time with Terry's was great!! They were very helpful with my choice of new fish, very clean and knowledgeable, will definitely be doing more business with them! !
